In 1955, Bobby Charles, born Robert Charles Guidry, was a 17 year-old teenager in Abbeville, Louisiana. Bobby had grown up with French-speaking parents listening to Cajun radio, but whenever he'd get a chance, he'd turn the dial & find the amazing sounds of country and rhythm & blues. One night, while at a bar called the Ol' Midway, Bobby was heading out the door when he tossed out a popular Louisiana farewell... "See ya later, Alligator!" A girl replied to his hip salutation, but he didn't catch it, so he turned around & headed back in. "What did you say?" he asked. "After while, Crocodile!" laughed the girl. Bobby went straight home & stayed up all night writing his million-seller. A whirl-wind career followed, with Bobby playing right alongside legends such as Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, and many more. On January 14, 2010, Bobby passed away at his home back in Abbeville. Released in 2010, 28 tracks, including:
