Robert Charles Guidry, Bobby Charles, wrote the hits "See You Later," "Alligator," "Walking to New Orleans" and "Tennessee Blues." The Cajun wordsmith from Abbeville, La., died at home on Jan. 14 at 71. Before he passed, Charles was working to get "Timeless" out in time for Fats Domino's Feb. 26 birthday. He made it.
