Chris Ardoin and Double Clutchin' continue to be the most forward-looking of all the young Zydeco bands coming up. Their use of modern beats merging with the oldest of musical traditions in the genre makes for a what's-old-is-new mix that's hard to ignore. This album snares a pretty wide musical net with big-time results. Brothers Chris and Sean Ardoin's intuitive relationship between their respective accordion and drums is seamless and highlighted superbly. Equally as seamless is the groove laid down by bassist Dee Greenwood and rub-board gal Tammy Ledet, making the whole band sound one of constant motion. When they talk about Zydeco being irresistible dance music, this is what they're talking about. ~ Cub Koda, All Music Guide Released in 1998, 16 tracks, including:
