There have been better-known figures than Jo-El Sonnier within the Cajun music tradition of Louisiana. And there have been Louisiana musicians who have taken simplified versions of Cajun music to Nashville and experienced greater success in the world of country music. But no one has moved as easily between Cajun and country music as Sonnier, and no one is as well respected as a bridge between musical traditions. The L.A. Sessions is a great example. Released in 2002, 11 tracks, including:
- Cajun Born
- One Of Those Old Things
- Good Deal Lucille
- Come On Joe
- Louisiana Blues
- No More One More Time
- Say You Love Me
- Blue Is Not A Word
- They'll Never Take Her Love From Me
- Knock-Knock-Knock
- I Want To Be With You Always
