Marc Savoy is widely acknowledged as one of the Godfathers of traditional Cajun music. Whether playing with the old masters of the music or with his wife Ann Savoy and Michael Doucet in the Savoy-Doucet Cajun Band, his accordion is firmly rooted in the sounds of Louisiana French music. It is only natural that the next generation of Savoys (Wilson, Joel, and Sarah) would offer their own, more modern take on that grand tradition. Playing with the togetherness that can only be found in ensembles of close family, The Savoy Family Band delivers the sort of excitement that comes from innovation within the deep roots of Cajun music.
