buying another one ...
Made of first class hard polished stainless, it has a wide variety of tones available, not just dullness like you get from inferior soft steel versions. The edges on the one I received had obviously been smoothed on the edges - it is not just the raw cut metal. I did touch up a few places on the edge with a file, but only because I am giving the first one as a gift. I doubt I will bother to file my own. Nice scratchers too. Maybe not as authentic as the all metal ones you see the old guys use, but the wood handle provides access to a different set of tones than you get from the metal end. I would recommend for anyone except perhaps a perfectionist with money to burn - for those folks there is the other guy you will see all over the internet at nearly 3x the price... |

no piping - cut myself - returning it
there's no piping on the neck. sharp edges. returning it. really disappointed.
*note from Floyd's:
We are certainly sorry that you injured yourself and are not pleased with the rubboard. I would like to point out however, that the reason there is no piping around the edges is because the piping would change the sound of the rubboard. Most musicians want the truly authentic rubboard
sound, which is what you'll get with this one. Thank you for the review & again,
we truly regret that you were disappointed. |
